Jubilee Events

2-5 JUNE 2022

The Topsham Community Association is organising a programme of events to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s 70 years on the throne over this four-day Bank Holiday Thursday 2 June to Sunday 5 June.
Everyone is invited to join in this historic moment and the full programme of What’s On in Topsham over the four days will be published shortly.

Highlights of the celebration are:

Thursday

  • 10am: Crowning Glory: Royal Crafts Workshop for Kids – Matthews Hall
  • 10.30am: Planting the Jubilee tree – Goat Walk Land Trust field
  • 2pm: Proclamation by Town Crier – Matthews Hall & The Quay
  • Early evening: Jubilee Race on the Exe
  • 9pm: Lighting the Jubilee Beacon ceremony on the Quay

Friday

  • 9am: Water Ways at the Rec with Small Crafts Club & 1st Topsham Sea Scouts – Dorothy Holman Centre
  • 11am: Jubilee Beer Festival at The Lord Nelson
  • 3pm: Family Picnic on the Rec with vintage games
  • 6pm: Live Music at The Nelson
  • 7.30pm: A Royal Night Out (evening screening only – Matthews Hall

Saturday

  • 9am: Pop Up Folk Music on the Green – Matthews Hall
  • 10am: Open Morning at Butts allotments with fresh produce sale
  • 11am: Topsham Food Festival – the Quay
  • 2pm: Royal Procession – starts Matthews Hall. Led by Town Crier Rogan Meadows, accompanied by Senior & Junior Royals for a Day. The Jubilee Swan of the Exe sculptural boat
  • 7pm: Jubilee Quiz – Matthews Hall
  • 7.30pm: King Shambles – live music on the Quay

Sunday

  • 12noon: Royal Lunch at The Bridge Inn
  • 5pm: Nello’s Longest Table
  • 7pm: The City Folk – live music at The Passage House Inn

Lots to do, lots of fun for everyone to remember and enjoy. Volunteers and helpers are welcome.
