Welcome to our new website!
Our old website served us well for many years, but we felt it time for a fresh new look, with some added features to improve access to the services and facilities we offer. It’s worth noting that the new website adapts to all platforms, meaning that you can view it on your laptop, tablet or smartphone. So why not catch up with our news over a coffee at Matthews Hall Café using the free wi-fi!
Coming soon will be a live calendar showing the availability for the hire of rooms at Matthews Hall and the Dorothy Holman Centre. You’ll be able to request a slot for a booking, and will be quickly contacted back for confirmation. Understandably, this is on hold until Coronavirus restrictions are lifted.
We also saw this update as an opportunity to create new logos for Matthews Hall and Dorothy Holman Centre, which we hope you like. We have only recently begun the process of taking on the management of the Dorothy Holman Centre, and as this progresses it makes sense to give them both venues a complimentary look and to centralise booking for both. Now if you can’t get the date you want to book at one venue, our booking secretary can advise if the other one is free.
We provide an online home for the Topsham Emergency Group too. They work hard to make Topsham ready for the threat of flooding, including training a team of flood wardens drawn from the community, and offer advice and support to those with riverside properties. In the event of a storm like the one that hit Topsham in February 2014, when over 50 properties were inundated, the Topsham Emergency Group link on this site will take you to the source of all up-to-date information.
