Revitalising the Dorothy Holman Centre

The Topsham Community Association (TCA) is pleased to be working with the Topsham Adventure Centre (TAC), another local charity, on a project to revitalise one of our key community venues, the Dorothy Holman Centre.
The TAC has, with the support of the community, raised a significant sum of money towards their project to provide facilities in Topsham for the 1st Sea Scouts, and for the charity CEDA. The proposal is to use these funds, and more, to extend and improve the centre into a facility that everyone can use. This means a significant internal extension, modernisation and refurbishment, as well as external works that will encourage and enable people to spend more time at the recreation ground.
On February 16th between 4pm and 7pm, we are holding an event in the studio at Matthews Hall where you can come along to hear more about the project and see the plans for the revitalisation.
After the event, we will consider any feedback in making the final design that will then be submitted to the planners. We will update this page with the plans as submitted.
Once the plans have been approved, a final fundraising effort will happen, led by TAC and focussing on large funding sources rather than further contributions from the community.
