Expert perspectives – shared understanding
Topsham Talks are a response to demand for expert led discussions of large and complex issues. Its objectives are:
1. To provide a regular forum for exploration of topics such as geopolitics, the economy, the environment, science, and technology, helping us make sense of a fast‑changing world; and
2. To build a shared learning community across disciplines. Topsham Talks aim to strengthen community spirit and connection, bringing together people from across roles, professions,
and levels of expertise. The series is intended to encourage collective thinking, curiosity, and respectful challenge, helping participants feel part of a shared intellectual community.
Formats will include lectures, interviews, panels, or facilitated discussion, with venues chosen to suit the session. Talks will usually be followed up with a coffee morning discussion which will offer an opportunity for attendees to share and further develop their understanding of the subject.
Topsham Talks are free events. Donations welcome of course. 7:30pm – Doors open at 7pm. No need for tickets – just turn up at the door .
