POSITION FOR A TCA MANAGER
Topsham Community Association (TCA) seeks a manager to provide leadership and management of the TCA staff team, to grow and promote the work of the organisation in the town of Topsham and its wider community, and to oversee the day to day activities of the charity.
TCA is a long-established community organisation in the town of Topsham, Exeter. TCA has two community halls (Matthews Hall and the Dorothy Holman Centre) which it hires to community groups and individual users for a wide variety of classes, groups, societies, performances and for private functions. TCA also runs a very successful Saturday Market and Seniors Club. TCA has a civic role in the town as part of its local planning and flood emergency sub committees.
The successful candidate will have experience in a staff management role, financial management skills and a knowledge and understanding of community organisations. You will have great ideas about how to develop our income streams and make the most of our two community centres. You will be confident to represent TCA with other community groups and to promote the work of the organisation using social media.
Previous experience as a manager in a community or voluntary organisation would be desirable, as well as a knowledge of Topsham but neither are essential if you have the ability to learn fast, communicate well and work with a board of local Trustees!
28 hours per week @ £15.50 per hour (fte equivalent £28,286 pro rata)
Based at Matthews Hall, Topsham
